 <span style="font-family: arial;"> <ul> <li><a style="text-decoration: none;" href="http://math.uww.edu/~mcfarlat/pictures/gentner/gentner/46.html#p462">Jean Nenno</a>&nbsp;or "John" or "Johann" (alt Nenne), born ca. 1782 in Prussia, Germany (by the account of<a style="text-decoration: none;" href="http://math.uww.edu/~mcfarlat/pictures/nennohis.htm">Emily Covert Roscoe</a>), came to U.S. on 21 Aug 1833, arrived on ship "AngeGardien" started from Morshweiler, Alsace [Morschwiller is 10 km west of Mulhouse], then to Havre, France, accompanied by wife and 7 children (Andrie, Mickel, Nickolas, Barbara, Catherine, Pierre, and Jean). At this time, he was 51, she was 47. He was a carpenter, and apparently had 6-7 other unnamed children. All names were spelled "Nenne" on passenger list.&nbsp;<a style="text-decoration: none;" href="http://math.uww.edu/~mcfarlat/pictures/gentner/gentner/46.html#p462">Don Gentner's Nenno website</a>&nbsp;claims somewhat differently&nbsp;<strong>:</strong>&nbsp;that this man was at least born with the name "Johann Nenno" (John) in Berus, Saarland, Germany (which is near Alsace).&nbsp;<a style="text-decoration: none;" href="http://math.uww.edu/~mcfarlat/pictures/nennoj4.htm">Gained USA citizenship in 1842</a>&nbsp;(http://math.uww.edu/~mcfarlat/pictures/jxn-bxk.htm)</li> </ul>
