Beebe BROWN & BEEBE just recieved, car of CALIFORNIA APPLES at the Silver City Market 25 West Park St. B. N. Beebe, for over a quarter of a century a resident of this city, died at his home, Darby, Montana, just above Hamilton, yesterday afternoon. The body will arrive in this city this evening on the Burlington train and will be taken to White & Kreb's undertaking rooms, from which place the funeral will take place Wednesday afternoon under the auspices of Lincoln post, Grand Army of the Republic. The deceased was 72 years of age, and leaves a daughter who is a teacher in the Webster school. Miss Beebe obtained leave of absence over two months ago and went to her father's bedside, where she has been a faithful attendant up to the time of his death. The deceased was a veteran of the civil war and was one of the oldest members of Lincoln post, the books showing that he joined it 24 years ago. Mr. Beebe served as truant officer in this city, and was a faithful and efficient officer. His health failing him he decided to retire to his ranch at Darby. For a time he seemed to be regaining some of his lost health, but about two months ago he began to decline and his condition became so serious that his daughter was sent for. For several weeks Mr. Beebe had been partly unconscious and his death was not unexpected. Source: 1900 Census Butte City Silver Bow Twp., Silver Bow Co., MT.
