In that same year the family moved to Columbus City, Iowa. In 1884 they moved to Urbana, Nebraska, where they settled on a homestead twelve miles west of Holdrege. There she grew to women hood. She attended the Franklin Academy where she finished the business course also taking most of the college preparatory course. As her oldest sister was attending Doane College, Anna attended Doane Academy so as to be with her sister. In 1903 her college work was interrupted the the sickness of her sister Marie, who contracted typhoid fever while teaching in Dorchester Academy in Georgia. The family contracted the same disease and it fell to Anna to take care of them. At the advice of the attending physician she decided to take a nurse training course and entered Christ's Hospital, Jersey City, N. J., from which she graduated in April 1907. On December 10th, 1908, she was married to Reuel Cadwalader. To this union were born Robert Raymond, who survived her, and Ruth Marie, who died in April, 1914. Mr. Cadwalader died on November 16, 1912 She resumed nursing again taking care of patients in this portion of the state, also in Kansas and Colorado. She was married March 6th, 1918 to Wm. McQueen, who mourns her death. Anna united with the Congregational church at Urbana, at a very tender age. She began teaching in the Sunday school when a mere child. She was superintendent of the Junior C. E. society when but fifteen years of age. During the critical period of the war she conducted several Red Cross classes in the county, later helping at Camp Dodge during the "flu" epidemic. By her cheerful disposition and her interest in others, Anna endeared herself to many. She leaves to mourn her death a loving husband, son an aged mother, two sisters and two brothers, and other relatives. The following relatives were here for the funeral; Mrs. Wilmont of Hudson Colo, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Cannon of Loveland, Colo, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Pierce and son, Roy, of Petersburg, Nebr, Mr. and Mrs. Jas Morrison of Ragan and Mrs. Anna Schear and daughter, Mrs. Frank Lantz of Hildreth.
