Note: Taxed in Salem in 1734, 1735, and 1736, and then not until 1741. He is then taxed again in 1745, 1746, 1747, and 1754, after which his name does not appear. In 1736 he is mentioned as one of the first settlers of Lyndeboro, NH, where he was granted two lots of land on account of Robert and John Tapley, 1 September 1736. Lyndeboro was called "Salem Canada," being settled by people from Salem, Mass. where a stock company was formed for improvement of land in that locality. The stockholders hired men to put up buildings and occupy them, and otherwise built up the settlement. Meetings of the proprieters of "Salem Canada," were held in Salem for 50 years following.
