At first Caroline went to live with friends in Troy . Later he agreed to pay her expenses as she visited her family in the South. Many of thei r letters are preserved. Caroline Yancey Beman died in the home of her son William L. Yancey in Dec. 1859.--Montgomer y Mail, 3 Jan 1860. Caroline is buried in the same lot with her son, Benjamin C. Yancey.[Copy of Bird Hulings Original6-2004 hunsi2.FTW] By 1835 Nathan and Caroline separated. At first Caroline went to live with friends in Troy .
