Note: theresa was the child of henry and sophie rosenthal burmester who lived and died in lauenburg duchy in schleswig-holstein. deceased before the other children were born, her memory soon faded as the family met their future by emigrating to the new world in 1862. she would have been 14 years of age by then, had she lived. but more suffering and death, as well as success, was to follow the family. her birth and death records were extracted from ratzeburg church records by uwe boldt for the lubeck family history society, 2005, commissioned by the compiler.
