Note: eleanor was self-educated. she loved to read and had a large body of resulting knowledge. she could also write in an articulate manner. wrote, directed and cast a musical, 'sing sing' about prison life, 1970s; joined 'sweet adelines' barbershop club and her quartet won regional competition in salt lake city, 1968. also did well in 1972. she was a 2-day winner on 'jeopardy' in the mid-'60s and won on other gameshows. was school secretary at santa monica bay adventist school, 1970-78. she was a centralizing family force.
