Census date of 4/21/1910 According to son William Wade, was employed as a Pullman car conductor, and later a U.S. Marshal and court bailiff in the Federal Courhouse in Chicago Story related to Lisa Thompson Faron by Hazel Wade Thompson: At the 1893 Columbian Exposition, Harry C Wade, serving as a deputy U.S. Marshal, took part in the arrest of a large group of people referred to as "Igorotees". Subsequent research has uncovered there indeed is a tribe of people from the northern Phillippines called the Igorots. At the St. Louis World's Fair, 10 years later, the Igorots were said to be the most popular and controversial part of the fair, with their constant dancing to tom-tom drums, appearing usually in the absence of clothing, and their use of dog meat as a central part of their diet. The St. Louis fair organizers seem to have been content to let the Igorots be, although perhaps their reception in Chicago was less welcoming, explaining why they may have been put under arrest.
