Notes
a. Note:   Heinrich & Susanna Koehler Juenger with four children, Georg, Susanna, Anna Dorothea & Anna Maria immigrated to America in 1846.They left buried in Germany 2 children. The voyage to America was rough. By sailship it took sometimes six weeks to three months. Many were sick & many passengers had to be buried at sea. Pasengers were willing to take whatever vessel was leaving port, regardless of where it landed. Some came up the Mississippi from New Orleans & settled in St. Louis for a short time. (Later they landed in N.Y. & came west by rail). Here other German friends informed them of available land & where othere were settling. They were mostly craftsmen & farmers. The Juenger families were farmers & settled in Mud Creek Prairie, Ill.(Now known as Darmstadt, Illinois)
