Note: Grad. 8th grade College Place Public School (27 May 1919) Attended Whitman College in the 1920s. Then lived in New Orleans, LA while working for the United States Department of Agriculture where he researched yams and other vegetables. He later moved back to Walla Walla, WA where he lived at the Marcus Whitman Hotel. He left a rare book collection to Whitman College. Some of the books are from the 14th century. These books can be viewed at Whitman College library.
