Note: 1912 Paul was born on January 30, 1912, in a town called Goodnight, in Armstrong County, Texas. The town is now a ghosttown. 1931 Paul and Mildred were married during the midst of the Great Depression. The Stephens County, Oklahoma Marriage Book 13 #616 list Paul and Mildred's marriage. 1943 Paul worked for Kaiser Steel in their shipyards during World War II. He worked as a welder on Liberty Ships commisioned by the Navy, 1945 In 1945 Paul left Kaiser and went to work for Lockheed Aviation in Long Beach, CA. He worked on the assembly line building Lockheed's new P38 Lightning twin engine fighter. 1946 The family is listed the city directory for Merced, California, Rt. 1 Box 178 East. Living near by is Paul's Uncle, Robert Frank Cassle with his family. 1947 Paul moved his family to the Central Valley of California. They purchased a house and 40 acres in Madera County, CA. Paul grew alfalfa on the 40 acres and then rented an additional second piece of land to grow sweet potatoes. 1956 Having completed his college degree, Paul and his family spent the summer with Paul's mother, Sallie (Revier) Cassle.
