Note: l documents connect James and Nancy to John Alderson and his wife, Rachel, and his second wife, Elizabeth. In February, 1825, an excellent genealogical document, (Power of Attorney) provides proof that James and Nanc;y are connected to her deceased father, John Stark Alderson. This Lancaster County, Virginia power of attorney establishes they were still living in Virginia as late as 1825. In December, 1827, Nancy is found in Chauncery Court Records of Maury County Tennessee. These court records involve land in Virginia and provide excellent information concerning Nancy's siblings, step-siblings, step-mother and even an uncle. Although these records do not indicate the residence of Nancy Revier. It is most likely that Nancy was then living in Maury. 1810 James Revier is listed on the 1810 census from Lancaster Co. VA. The census is in alphabetical order. Toward the bottom of the page it list James Reveer Senior, James Reveer Junior, and Thomas Reveer, each as head of household. The next page has John W. Reveer and Bushrod Reveer. 1812 James Riveer served in the War of 1812. He was a Private in the 92nd Regiment, Chowning's Juniors, of the Virginia Militia. His brothers Joel, Cyrus, and William all served with him in this unit. 1820 James Reveer is listed along with a Joel Reveer in Lancaster Co. VA. This census also only lists the names of the "head of household". His last name is misspelled. James and Nancy Riveer probably migrated to Maury County, Tennessee between 1825 and 1827.
