Note:   other, "John Watson", so he 1900 The census for Hill County, Texas list John W. living with his parents, he is 14 years old and attending school. 1910 Will and Mattie Revier are listed on the 1910 Census for Gregg County, Texas. The five oldest children are listed with them. John William is employed working on a farm. 1920 The Hill County Census for 1920 shows John W. and Mattie M. living with seven of their children. It does not list, Maggie, who was born in 1905. She may have married very young or possibly been a victim of the severe flu epidemic of 1918. The census says they were living on Blanton Road. John William is farming on his own. The three oldest sons are attending school. 1930 The Hill County Texas census shows J. William "Reviere" living with his wife Mattie, and their daughter, Elsie.
Note:   James William Revier's nephew, Paul Emerson Cassle, recalled calling him "Uncle Bill". His name varied on several U.S. census'. see the information below. His tombstone says "James W." and he had a br
