Notes
a. Note:   ame is spelled 'Revere". 1840. There is a William Reviere listed on the census in Maury County Tennessee in 1840. It only gives the names of head of household. But it does list a male and female the ages of William Jackson and Mary. It also list a girl under the age of 5 who could be Louisa, and a boy age 10 to 20 who could be William's younger brother John Alderson Riveer. It is likely John Alderson Riveer was in Tennessee because he enlisted in the military in Tennessee in 1848. William Jackson and Mary must have moved for a time to Kentucky. Census records show two of their children were born in Kentucky: Caledonia in 1842 and John Franklin in 1844. William and Mary's next child was William Jr. born in Tennessee in 1849. It is possible they returned because Mary Revier's step-father's estate was being settled. When William Jackson Revier later writes his will he makes reference to the land in "Williamsport". 1850 By the 1850 census William J. Revier and Mary were back in Maury County. On this census their last name is spelled "Reviere". They were living in Williamsport, Maury County census for 1850. He was working as a blacksmith. Williamsport was known as "Williams Ferry" and is to the west of Santa Fe, along Snow Creek Road. The census also shows both William and Mary could not read or write, but their three children listed with them were attending school. 1860 On the Maury, Tennessee census for 1860 William's name is spelled like his father's "Riveer". William is listed as a Master Blacksmith. The value of his net worth is given: home and property at $1500 and personal property at $35.00. 1870 William and Mary and three of their children are again listed on the Maury County, Tennessee census. William is a blacksmith with $7000 worth of real estate and $1050 in personal property. His sons 30 year old, James M. and 21 year old William Jr. are working in the shop with their father. Son, Thomas, is listed also age 16. William Jackson and his wife, Mary, along with at least three of his son migrated to Hill County, Texas between the 1870 census done in August of that year, and the birth of their granddaughter, Louisa Delcina, in Hill County Jan 1877. 1880 William and Mary are listed on the census in Hill County, Texas. Their sons Buckley and Thomas are living with them. Their name is misspelled "Reviere" and he is listed as Jackson. William Jackson Riveer wrote his will on July 24, 1894. There is no death certificate available for William Jackson Revier..
Note:   William Jackson Riveer was born in Virginia and first appears in records in Tennessee in 1837 when he married Mary Fields in Maury County, Tennessee. On the marriage records, from the internet, his n
