Note: Luella Carnicom Fremont (Ohio) News-Messenger, March 1986 Luella M. Carnicom, 64, a seamstress at the S.E. Hyman Co., died Monday afternoon at St. Charles Hospital following a two-week illness. She resided at 1316 Croghan St. Born March 8, 1922, in Defiance, she was a daughter of John and Myrtle (Drew) Dodson. She amrried William "Hap" Waldon in Fremont in 1939. He died in 1951. A daughter, two brothers and a grandson also died previously. Surviving family members are her husband, Shelman Carnicom, whom she married in 1970; two sons Bernie Waldon of Gibsonburg and Larry Waldon of Fremont; three daughters, Shirley Gentry of Bellevue, Norma Henry of Fremont and Connie Runion of Green Springs; a stepson Thomas Carnicom of Fremont; a stepdaughter, Charlotte Jurovcik of Fremont; four brothers, Jesse, Paul, Donald, and Bernard Dodson, all of Defiance; two sisters, Edith Watruba of Fremont and Helen Myers of Vickery; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren. She worked for S.E. Hyman Co. for the past 11 years as a seamstress and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Pioneer Auto Club. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Weller-Wonderly Funeral Home with the Rev. William Slates of Grace Lutheran Church officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. The family would like any memorial tributes to be to the American Cancer Society.
