Note: Robert "Bob" L. Heberling Fremont (Ohio) News-Messenger, December 29, 2004 Robert "Bob" L. Heberling, 78, of Fremont died Tuesday morning at Memorial Hospital. He was born to Wilbert and Hazel (Nelson) Heberling in Helena, Ohio. Bob attended Gibsonburg schools and served as Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during WWII, receiving an honorable discharge in 1949 and later serving in the reserves. He married Mary Lou Newman on October 3, 1950 and she survives. Robert worked for the Sunshine Biscuit Company for 45 years retiring in 1990, he also farmed most of his life retiring in 1993. Bob was a member of the Fremont Eagles. He is survived by children Bill, Rick (Deborah), Gary, and Tommy Heberling all of Fremont, Barb (Wayne) Collins of Risingsun, former daughter-in-law Jamie Heberling, Fremont, 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and sister Beatrice Binkley of Indiana. He is preceded in death by his parents, an infant son Ronnie, brothers Dale and Raymond, two infant sisters, Hazel and Gladys, and a great grandson, Samuel Stover. Visitation will be held on THursday from 2-9 p.m. with the family present from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovtez Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fremont. The Eagles will hold their services at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evening. Funeral service is 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Gruetter officiating. Burial will be in Bradner Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the family.
