Note: R.J. Heberling Fremont (Ohio) News-Messenger, September 27, 1965 R.J. Heberling, 86, rural Helena, a life long resident of the community, died Saturday in Memorial Hospital. He had been ill for the past year. Mr. Heberling was born January 7, 1879 in Jackson Township, Sandusky County, and in 1900 married the former Nannie Yoder at Bellefontaine. His parents were B. Frank and Elizabeth Huff Heberling, and he was the last of his family. Surviving are the wife, a son Wilbert, Helena; a daughter, Mrs. Bertha Kiser, Helena; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A son preceded him in death. Mr. Heberling, a retired farmer, was a member of the Girton Church of God, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Sam Nichtigall, pastor, and the Rev. Alvin Shrewsberry, pastor of the Fremont Church of God. The body will lie in state until the time of the services at the church. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery at Risingsun. Friends may call at the Veh and Son Funeral Home, Gibsonburg.
