Note: Mrs. George Drew Clyde Enterprise, February 3, 1921 Mrs. Ellen Drew, wife of George Drew, died at their home at the corner of Sherman and East streets last Friday morning after an illness lasting since Thanksgiving time. The funeral was held at the home at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. S.R. Aldrich, the interment being made in McPherson Cemetery. Ellen E. Moore, a daughter of Samuel and Mary Moore, was born in Hancock County, Ohio in 1840. April 9, 1860 she was married to George Drew, and most of her married life was spent in the vicinity of Greenspring and Clyde. Of nine children born to them, only two survive to mourn their loss, with the aged husband. She also leaves a brother, 6 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Mr. Drew was a great homebody, ever mindful of the needs and comforts of her family. She was unselfishly cared for in her last days by a daughter, husband, and friends. A good mother and dutiful wife has gone, but her unselfish example and her good works will remain.
