a. Note:   Joseph Watruba Taken By Death Shipping Clerk At Fremont Foundry Succumbs Fremont (Ohio) Daily News Feb. 27, 1936 Joseph A. Watruba, 42, of 824 Alger Street, died Thursday at 8:30 a.m. in Memorial Hospital after a four-years' illness of complications. Mr. Watruba had been confined in the hospital for the last five weeks, but he also had received medical treatment in St. Vincent's Hospital, Toledo, several times. Funeral services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. in St. Ann's Catholic Church. The Rev. Fr. Harold Chilcote, pastor of the church, will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Born in Cleveland, May 8, 1894, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Watruba, both of whom preceeded him in death, Mr. Watruba married Miss Catherine Effinger, also of Cleveland, Nov 17, 1917. The family has lived in Fremont for 16 years, during which Mr. Watruba was shipping clerk at the Fremont Foundry Co. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Catherine Watruba; five children: Edwin, Bernard, Dorothy Mae, Mary Catherine, and Betty Ann Watruba, all at home. Two sisters: Mrs. Charles Bratz and Mrs. George Murphy, both of Cleveland also are left. A son Robert died four years ago.
