a. Note:   Mrs. Catherine Watruba Fremont (Ohio) News-Messenger, March 1, 1965 Mrs. Catherine Watruba, 76, Route 3, Clyde, died Sunday at 9 p.m. in Hospitality Rest Home there. She had been in failing health several years. A resident of this area since the early 1920s she was born July 2, 1888 in Independence, O., daughter of Joseph and Mary Effinger. She was married in 1915 to Joseph Watruba in Cleveland. He died in 1936. She was also preceded in death by sons, Edwin and Robert, and 10 sisters and brothers. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. LaMar (Dorothy) Jennings, Mrs Edwin (Betty) Rosen, Mrs. Howard (Mary) Daniel, all of Clyde, and one son, Bernard of Fremont; sisters Mrs. Frances Tromm, Columbia Station, and Miss Mae Effinger, Parma. There are 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Watruba was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clyde, and the Altar Society. Friends may call at the Ochs funeral home beginning Monday at 7 p.m. A requiem Mass will be offered Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's church, Clyde, with burial to be in Calvary Cemetery, Fremont. The Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
