a. Note:   ook of poems written by Edward and assembled by his son, Glenn. Edward played a intergral part in the development of NW Minnesota. Because of Edward's apparent excellent business accuman, the bank he managed in Humboldt was the only bank (First State Bank of Humboldt) in the county which was able to survive the Great Depression. Later, the bank operation was moved to Hallock, MN. The bank in Hallock was held up at gun-point by bank robbers from Canada, but the money was quickly recovered in Grand Forks, ND.
