Breech, (son of Joseph Finis Ewing Breech) was born January 24, 18 95 in Lebanon, MO. and died April 12, 1969 in Springfield, Greene Co. M O. He married Hazel Denton, daughter of Furm Denton and Ellazora Reed. S he was born May, 1896. Earl lived in Chicago, Ill until 1933. He then moved to Indianapolis to wo rk for Eddie Rickenbacker, to handle the finances at the Indianapolis Spee dway. He remained there for several years and later became general manag er of theMertz Engineering Company. They were makers of high pressure guages and machinery, in Indianapoli s. He moved to Detroit, about 1950; where he and an associate owned a sma ll diamond tool cutting company. At the urging of his brother, Ernest; Ea rl and his wife "Cees" moved to Springfield, MO, to establish andown a Wh irlpool coin-operated dry-cleaning and laundry store. Earl had a slight st roke at the age of sixty-nine; which somewhat restricted his activities; b ut his wife continued to manage the business. (Notes taken from book "Ern ie Breech" by J. Mel Hickerson) Earl and Hazel had two children: (1) Earl J. Breech, Jr. born July 01, 1923, Forest Park, Illinois and di ed February 07,1996, in Battle Ground, Tippecanoe County, Indiana. (2) Betty Breech, born June 03, 1929 and died October 21, 1995. She marri ed Gale Nave. He was born November 4, 1915 and died May, 1983 in Indiana.
