Note: Edwin Leopold Benjamin, called "Leopold", was a Jewish businessman, pobably from eastern europe, who owned a dry goods store in Fredericksted, St. Croix.He made many business trips to europe. He had many illigitimate children who carried the Benjamin name including: Agatha, Nellie, Amos, Alberta and Othelia. He was reportedly found dead of natural causes in his cabin on a ship in New York harbor returning from a european excursion sometime before World War I.
