Note: John Pedro came to St. Croix from Vieques. The family were skilled craftsmen (builders, jointers etc.) of the Catholic faith. He married Jane, who may have been born in St. Croix. Anyway, they came to St. Croix and settled down. John was excommunicated because he had married an Anglican! The other Pedro siblings remained Catholic. Aunt Dellie told me this story.
