a. Note:   Henry Butts died in Riverside California 11:45 AM October 23, 1947. He was buried in GAR cemetary Miller South Dakota. Henry Butts was born in Ellston , Iowa , in the county of Ringgold on September 23, 1881. He was the third child of William and, Amanda Butts. He came to St. Lawence S.D, at the age of 18 and, spent most of his life in this vicinity. He was married to Caroline or Carrie Danburg, June 8, 1904. He had a resturant in St. Lawence S.D, for a number of years, and then movied north of St. Lawence until Carolines health forced them to move to Miller S.D. Caroline passed away in May 26, 1944. Henry later remarried Minnie Dixon, they lived in Miller S.D, a short time , and then movied to Riverside California, where Henry died at his home October 23, 1947 from a heart attack.
