Note: In 1866 John L. Danburg married Caroline Barber of De Kalb, Illinois, living there about a year. De Kalb, is also where there oldest son, Freeman Cornelius was born. In 1867 John, with his father-in-law, Nathan Barber and his family moved to Nashua, Iowa where they both bought farms of unbroken prairie and hazel brush, where he farmed for 13 years. Here 4 children were born. They are: Esther, Augusta, Emma Matilda, and John Carlton. On October 24, 1881 Caroline Barber Danburg died while giving birth to John Carlton Danburg.
