Also listed as a message on the Ancestry.com message board: Seaborn Ferdinand Rackley (1831-1917) married Amanda Wetumka Lovett (1842-1924) buried in Sardis Cemetery in Burke Co (Amanda dau of John Farnsley Lovett and Elizabeth Bonnell) All the Rackley's including the Jenkins Co, Screven Co and Bulloch Co group are desc of William Joel Rackley and Mary Murray. This family was part of a group of early settlers from Duplin Co NC that moved to what is now Sardis, GA. Their proximity to the seat of the Lovett's allows for many marriages. there are many Murray connections with these families. The family is exhaustively documented in the book Rackley-A Southern Colonial Family by Eloise F Potter and Timothy W Rackley. I placed a copy of this book in the Statesboro Regional Library Genealogy collection some years ago. I am not descended from this family but am related to them. Seaborn's brother Joel Rackley visited with my great great grandfather Robert Thompson (son of Seaborn Ferdinand Thompson) who was his cousin. Per info compiled by Shiela Parker: marker sates ("he was faithful to every duty"
