Note: In 1870 John H. age 33 and Ann E. (31 or 37) lived in Fairplay dist. 12 they had two children William H. who was 2 years and John R. at 7 months born in Oct. John lists his occupation as day laborer and his birth place as Md. Ann E. list her birth place as Md. and she cannot read or write The 1900 census of Williamsport, Maryland, Washington County, shows a J.H. Sharer born in Maryland February 1838. He is married to A E Sharer born in Virginia in August of 1834. She had five children of which only two survive. In 1910 the census list John H. Sharer age 72 and Anna E. age 76 married 45 years living on Potomac Street in Williamsport, Maryland. Death Certificate for John Henry SR3040 microfilm, Maryland State Archives, shows he was aged 77 years 5 months and 21 days.
