Yandell of Howe spent a few days on lower Fourche recently, returning home Thursday. Mr. Yandell informs us of the death of his brother-in-law, Edgar Jones which occurred last week. Edgar was the youngest son of Lee Jones and was born and reared near Nola." [end quote] Died from "sleeping sickness" (influenza epidemic) on Lower Fourche Valley (Grandma told me this). Left his wife Myrtle Pullen Jones with seven children and one yet unborn at the time of his death. Aunt Grace told me he just gotten over his illness and went out during a rainstorm to bring in his cattle and caught pneumonia, which led to his death. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Page 41: Caloway Tate being duly sworn states on the 18th of July 1914 I saw Andy Jones and Tom Jones fighting.
