Note: John William Jones, the sixth child of Levi B. Jones Sr. and Nancy Holman, was born about 1856 in Scott County Arkansas. He was first found in the 1860 Scott County Census, Lafave Twp 79/78 with parents at age 4. Next found in the 1870 Scott County census, Lafave Twp PO Nebraska #11/11 at age 14. I have been unable to find him after that census. There was two John Jones in Scott County in 1880, but I don't know if either one was him. - Note from Charlene Holland's report August 1999.
Suppositional only in that he does not appear in Scott County after the 1870 Census. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Did not marry - no issue. I previously had his name as John William Jones - if that is correct he was probably named for his grandfather John William Jones. I noticed on a census he was listed as John I. Jones. I speculate that perhaps his name was John Isaac and he was named after his uncle Isaac Coleman or Holman. This is not conclusive.
