Note: Death suppositional based on the last record I find for Emma was the 1920 Scott County Census. I find no marriage record or other census for her. Neither do I find a burial record for her.
Note from Delaine Edwards: I've started working on the first of two books on Hickman Township and the Castleberrys are already about to drive me nuts! But I think I may have figured out what became of Emma, the widow of your Walter R. Jones. He died in 1917 and she is on the 1920 census but not on the 1930 and I didn't know if she'd died or remarried and left the county. When her brother Sam Castleberry died in 1926 his obit lists his five sisters and by process of elimination I think Emma is the one listed as Mrs. W.E. (Walter) Thomas of Sulphur, Oklahoma. I can find no record of her second marriage here, so she must've married somewhere else, maybe in OK?
