Note: son County, North Carolina. Elisha Cary married Dicey in 1795. He lived in Warren County Ga. for a short time. The 1800 Census of North Carolina list Elisha in Franklin County N.C. with the following persons in the household: Two males under 10 years of age, One female under 10 years of age, One male 10-16 years of age, One female 16-26 years of age, one male 26-45 years of age. He is also mentioned in connection with various wills, deeds, and other records in Franklin County and Person County, N.C. until his death in 1815. Following his death his estate was appraised in Person County N.C. December 17, 1816 An allotment was paid to his widow Dicey Cary, by the May 1817 court of Person County N.C. Source: Person County N.C. record book of Compilations, pg 296. Elisha Cary died six years earlier than his father Elphinston Cary. Elphinstons's will listed "children of Elisha" as some of his heirs. Children of Elisha Cary and Dicey are: Miles Cary born 1796, Nasemond County Virginia, died 1834. James Cary, born about 1798, Wilkes County Georgia? Died between 1846-1850, Taliaferro County, Georgia.
