Note: " Ronald". He was born in Insean a little town near Rangoon as indicated in the records. The youngest of the seven boys in the family. He used to tell me that when he was a child he would make a mud farm that is a whole set of animals of a farm and the buildings etc, the mud was just like cley and it would set hard in the sun, this mud is what we used to make mud pellets which were about 1/2"' - 3/4 "diameter sphers for shooting with our catapelt. He learnt to swim by some one throwing him in the river. He was a good singer and he could play the Guiter, he used to tell me how all his sisters could play the piano and that they used to get the latest sheet music and when the girls learnt the song, out went the sheet music and they just played in any key that suited the singer. To me he said learn at least one musical instrument and learn to dance. In his prime he was a boxer and was the Burma, India and Cylon Heavy Weight Champion. His hight was 5' 11 1/2 and of a muscular build, and to show off he would drive a pin into his thigh while seated down which made all the girls think he was very strong. Also was known as a great shooter and always went hunting. Met his wife Eva and got married in the pre war days, when Hazel his first child was born , she was so named because of her hazel eyes , her Full name was in fact Doreen Hazel. Cherry his second daughter was born, during the war her real name was Sheila Marjorie, " See notes of Shela Marjorie" But her eyes were not cherry although she might have had red eyes when she cried. She was loved by the Japanise soldiers and some wanted to take her back home with them, NO! was the answer of course. Young Cherry died during the war due to the lack of medecin when she had a very high fever. Burma was ocupied by the Japanise , but to keep the pease he would share the game he shot with the soilders after returning from shooting. Such trust they had in him that they even let him keep his collection of guns. Once a different C O. came and took away his guns, but as soon as the old C O. returned he went straight away, got the guns and returned them to him. After the war ended dad bought a property for a farm near Mandalay and and made his dream come true by putting real farm animals on it, such as Ducks, chickens, Turkeys, Geese, pigs , cows, horses, goats and the list goes on. He had a little milk round which I used to go on in his milk cart. " see phots "
