a. Note:   Eliza was born 1 Sep 1815, in Commercial Rd. London and she wasbaptised in St.George's Church in the East of London. She wasthe eldest daughter and came to Australia with her sister, MaryAnn they arrived on the ship "Layton" 27/12/1833.Eliza was employed by Joseph Hod, Elizabeth St. Sydney, she wasalso on the list of women engaged from the Lumber Yard.Does Eliza have a brother Willaim, if so William Sr. and WilliamJr. were both living at Belford in 1878.One of the famiy stories relates to a large amount of moneybeing left Eliza and Mary Ann by their grandmother, Sally ( her2nd husband was very wealthy). However, through some sortofargument they both died before claiming their inheritance.They were apparently put in a book called "The Next of Kin" in1888. Descenants went to England and pursued the claim into theHigh Court, but for some reason could not prove their case.[1891128.FTW] CAUS: Senile Decay, Diarroea Eliza and her sister Mary Ann arrived on the ship"Layton" 27/12/1833.
