Note: Fort Worth Star Telegram James "J.T. Scribner Bedford - James "J.T." Scribner, 78, a retired aircraft mechanic, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2001, at his home. Funeral: 2 P.M. Thursday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Burial: Minters Chapel Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. J.t. retired from LTV with 42 years of service. He was a life member of American Legion #379. He was an outdoors man and enjoyed fishing and hunting. His most enjoyable times were spent watching his grandchildren's sporting activities. His loving wife of 56 years, Dortha "Dot" Scribner, and a son, Butch Scribner, preceded him in death. Survivors: Son, Larry Scribner and wife, Janice, of Bedford and Tim Scribner and wife, Anne, of North Richland Hills; daughter, Shirley Olmsted of Euless; brother, Roy Scribner of Canton; sister, Betty Turner of Granbury; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
