Note:   Proof of Hannah Wood's parents comes from baptismal records found in the Congrational Church at Granville, NY, also, "Portrait and Biographical Record of Muskegon and Ottawa Counties Michigan". Biographical Publishing Co. , 1893. Hannah's son Wesley states that his mother's father was Abraham Reed of NY. In a letter written by Rev. Isaac Reed son of Abraham, to his children in 184? he names Abraham's children. Hannah is listed as Mrs Wood. The original letter is in the possession of Krys Douglas of Albuquerque, NM. After the death of her husband she became involved in several land transactions in Essex County, and was apparently very successful in this venture. She died June 26, 1862 and was laid to rest beside her husband in the Mountain View Cemetery at Upper Jay Village, New York. Reference: Deed records of Essex County, New York. Gravestone inscription.
