Note: No date of death or marriage has been found for Wesley. He was living in Brookline, New York when he signed a deed for his share of his father's estate. Since the above was written we have discovered from "Portrait and Biographical Record of Muskegon and Ottawa Counties Michigan" by biographical Publishing Co, Chicago, IL; 1893 the following new information. "Wesley Wood was the son of Jonas B. Wood and Hannah (Reed) Wood the father a native of MA, the mother of NY. Both parents of English descent. Mrs. Wood was the daughter of Abraham Reed, who was also a native of the Empire State. At an earley age Wesley removed to the city of New York where he remained in the merchantile pursuits until 1849, on account of poor health he removed to Hopkinton, St. Lawrence County, NY. There he remained until 1857, when he turned his face westward and came to Michigan locating in Muskegon, where he had some interests, and where he devoted himself chiefly to the real-estate business, city and suburban. Three children were born to Wesley and Sarah in Hopkinton, NY, only one of whom, Frank, survives. Frank for a good many years has been a banker in Muskegon."
