a. Note:   William R. Cubage enlisted Feb. 8, 1863 at Camden, Arkansas in Company D. 33rd Arkansas Infantry. He served as a hospital nurse in Monroe, Louisiana. He and his family were living in Mt. Ida, Arkansas in 1870. He was listed as Dr. Cubage on the census. He served in the Arkansas Legislature and was murdered on the streets of Mt. Ida. His grave is marked in the cemetery at Mt. Ida, Arkansas.
