Note: Uriah purchased land belonging to the estate of Thomas, his father, August 23, 1859. He was appointed guardian of three of his younger brothers and sisters. He enlisted in Co. B. 11th. Georgia Artillery (Sumpter Artillery) Confederate Army in Americus, Georgia and was killed at Cold Harbor, Virginia, June 6 1864.
