Note: Mr Langmaid married Rebecca Morrison Taylor who died in 1888 She was born in Derry New Hampshire daughter of Robert Taylor whose wife was Dolly Colby daughter of Isaac Colby Robert Taylor was a son of David Taylor born August 10 1735 married Margaret Kelsey and had seven children David Taylor was the fourth son of Matthew Taylor and his wife Janet who was one of the first settlers of Londonderry New Hampshire It is probable that both of them were born in Ireland but they were of Scotch descendants their ancestors having been compelled to flee from Scotland because of religious persecution being Protestants and found refuge in the north of Ireland Matthew and Janet Taylor had six sons and two daughters John Matthew William David Adam Samuel Sarah and Janet John Pous land and Rebecca M Taylor Langmaid had three children 1 Ellen L married Leonard Harrington see Harrington family 2 John Henry died in Paris France May 19 1900 see forward 3 Frank A see forward Genealogical and personal memoirs relating to the families of ..., Volume 4 edited by William Richard Cutter
