Birth: �Ctab�DNov. 20, 1941 Greendale Milwaukee County Wisconsin, USA Death: �Ctab�DJan. 13, 2006 Pensacola Escambia County Florida, USA S/O Robert E. Taylor and Mary E. Coyne Taylor. Mike moved with his family at an early age to Cheney, Kan. and was a graduate of Cheney High School in 1959. He graduated from Emporia State University in 1963. Mike received a Masters Degree in Education from Eastern Michigan University. He began his teaching career in 1963 in Salina, Kan. In 1965, he moved to Hazel Park, Mich. where he taught school for 20 years. In 1985, Mike joined the Rent-A-Center Corporation as an executive and moved his family to Pensacola. In 2004 Mike retired to pursue his many hobbies. He loved to travel, had a passion for sports, and supported many charitable organizations. One of Mike's passions was long distance running, beginning in high school and continuing throughout the remainder of his life. Mike ran 34 marathons in his career including the Boston, Chicago, and Detroit marathons. He also coached track and cross-country, among many other sports. Mike was an active member and Chairman of the Deacons at Pinewoods Presbyterian Church in Cantonment for the past 20 years and has been a dedicated Christian in all communities in which he lived and worked. Mike was also active with the Pensacola Junior College Foundation, the Escambia County Republican Executive Committee, and the local chapter of retired Michigan educators. She was married to my uncle, Michael Taylor. He was my dad's just younger brother. He died, I believe in 2005 or 6 just 3 months after my grandfather Taylor passed away. He died in a car/bike accident. My Uncle Mike lived in Hazelpark MI for several years where he met and married her.
