Note: James George Needham, an internationally known scientist, received his PhD degree from Cornell in 1898 and became a permanent faculty member there in 1907. He and his wife, Anna Belle Taylor, lived in their later years at 6 Needham Place in Ithaca. They had four children: John Taylor Needham, William Ruel Needham, Paul Needham, and Annabelle Needham.
