a. Note:   Here is James Arthur Taylor s/o John Taylor & Mary Ann Mason; grandson of Archibald Taylor; gr-grandson of Capt. Matthew. He was born in St. Mary's, Guysborough County, N.S. on 13 Aug. 1882 & died 10 April 1917 at Vimy Ridge, France. ( WW1 ) He is buried at Villers Station Cemetery, Viller-au-Bois, France. hi pat heres what i got on james arthur taylor so far records say d.o.b. @june 24 1884 or aug 13 1882. rank-private. son of John Taylor and Mary or Marion Mason in County Harbour. service number-901657 now they say 85th battalion canadian infantry manitoba regiment. grave ref-VI. J. 13 at VilliersStaion Cemetary. websites...Canadiangreatwarproject.com or commonwealthwargravecommission.com. there seems to be a little bit of confusion. they list no reason for death or no medals. im not quite done yet tho. keep you up to date.
