W. Sharp, Clinton, Vinton, Ohio. In 1844 the post office of Groveport was established. Mr. Jacob B. Wert one of the rival founders of the town was honored by being made the first postmaster, and held the office to 1848. He was succeeded by Edward Gares who held until 1854. In that year Samuel Sharp was appointed to the office and held it until 1858.
