Note: I was told that the city in Canada they were from is New Glasgow. My Grandfather, Miller Taylor died when I was about 5 years old, so don't remember much about him. My Grandmother, Alice Taylor, was a very standoffish kind of person, she passed when I was about 13. She never discussed her life with me. My dad told me that they came To the USA when he was 6months old. I think I remember someone telling me they came by train�� but not sure.. Another note for you: Miller Taylor was a Tailor. He had a Tailor shop in the building that had the town clock, In Watsonville, CA. He owned an Apple Ranch in Watsonville on Freedom Blvd. Thomas Walter Taylor, email, 031215 I've been working on tracking down descendants of those Taylor men who died in early logging accidents and have found the family of Miller Taylor, s/o Thomas & Susan; s/o Matthew & Elizabeth; s/o David & Eleanor; s/o Capt. Matthew & Elizabeth. Miller was born in Valley, Truro area, N.S. & m. Alice Maude Menadue in 1897. By profession he was a tailor. He , Alice and family moved to Santa Cruz , California in 1905 where he farmed for a bit until he opened his own tailor shop. He died there in 1954. More research in the works! Miller and Alice Taylor had the following children: 1. George L. b. 1899 2. Lewis G. 1899-1900 3. Percy b. 1901 4. Sydney b. 1903 4. Walter b. 1905 ( They were all born in Canada ) 5. Gwendoline b. 1909 and 6. Gavin b. 1911 The last two were born in Santa Cruz, Cal. LOOK AT ALL THOSE MALES!! There could be a whole crew of them in sunny Cal.
