a. Note:   Jesse and Martha homesteaded in Wheeler Co., Nebraska, Clearwater Twp. The GLO records lists his homestead , 69.28 Acres issued 27 April 1911. They are listed on the 1900 and 1910 census for that county. From there they went to Tillamook, OR. Between 1910 and 1913.
  The 1900 census lists Jesse and Martha alone. They gave the information that they
 had had two children but neither survived. By 1910 they had 6 children, one more, Mary did not survive. Three more were born in Tillamook, Oregon. They had 12 children with 9 surviving.
  Jesse and Martha died rather young. Martha died at age 37 of Influenza with complications of Brochial Pneumonia. Jesse was 55 when he died of what was called
 Apoplexy.
