Note:   Obituary-Richmond, Virginia-June 13, 1853 On Tuesday, the 7th inst., at 12:30 o'clock P. M., after a protracted sickness of some months, brother BROOKEN TAYLOR, in the 40th year of his age. He was a native of King and Queen, in which county he remained till the fall of 1851, when he removed to this city (Richmond). He had long been a member of the Baptist church, ...... and connected himself with the Exol church,.....and, for some ten years or more previous to his removal, a deacon of that church. ......His funeral discourse was delivered by Rev. R. B. C. Howell, pastor of Second Baptist Church, of which he was a member. The Daily Dispatch, 1853 June 8 DIED-On the 7th instant, in the 40th year of his age, BROOKING TAYLOR, formerly of King and Queen county. His friends and the members of Harmony Tent, I. O. of Rechabites, are requested to attend his funeral this evening at 3:30 o'clock, at his residence on Baker, between 1st and St. James streets. N. B.-At the request of the deceased, members of the order will attend without regalia.
