Note: Johnny Caskey was born on 16 Jun 1874 on the Elk Fork. He was the son of Tommie and Martha Lemasters Caskey, deceased, who were very widely known throughout the vicinity. Johnny died on 28 Oct 1949 having been an invalid for several years. He joined the Christian Church when a young man and often expressed his desire to go be with his mother in Heaven. He is survived by his brothers; Ransom of St. Louis, Mo., Willie of Decatur, Ill.,Walter of Des Moines, Iowa, and Tom Henry of Columbus, Ohio. Funeral was conducted at the old home place by the Rev. Harlan Murphy. Although the rain was falling it did not hinder them from coming and showing how highly they esteemed him. Interment was made in the Caskey Cemetery back of the home place.
