Note: Evening Gazette-24 Oct 1893: Mrs. Emily (Hazen) Caskey, wife of Engineer Clark Caskey, of this village, died at her residence, no. 12 Kingston Ave., this morning at 7:30. Deceased was born in Cahoonzie , in the town of Deerpark, October 30, 1845, thereby making her 49 years of age. She was the d/o the late James H. & Mary Hazen, of this village. She was united in marriage to Mr. Clark Caskey in 1864 and had resided in this village all her life-time with the exception of about 4 years when she resided in Meadville, PA. Mrs. Caskey was a lady well and favorably known in this village, and had a wide circle of friends and acquaintances who will learn of her death with regret. She had been a patient sufferer for two years past with that dreaded disease, Cancer of the stomach, of which she died. She is survived by her husband and two sons, Harry & Burt at home, her aged mother, who resides in Carpenters Point, and three sisters, Mrs. Frank Kimble, of Englewood, NJ, Mrs. Charles I. Peck, of this village, and Mrs. Ella Snook, of Carpenters Point. She was a regular attendant at the Reformed Church, of this village. The funeral will take place Thursday afternoon at 2:30 from the house. Rev. A. Vennema will officiate. Friends desiring to view the remains can do so between the hours of 10 and 1 on Thursday. The burial will take place in Laurel Grove Cemetery.
