Notes
a. Note:   In 1870, the census shows the last name as Connors. Sometime after this the name was changed to O'Connor. As late as 1891 the Connors name was used by his son Daniel. Daniel's death certicate has name of O'Connor listed.
1870 census does not show Daniel as a citizen.
1900 census shows he immigrated in 1870 and is naturalized. Last name is O'Connor at this time. Living at 557 Morris Avenue.
1905 NY census says he may have been born in 1843 and is living at 494 East 148th Street, Bronx.
According to Marion Reardon, Daniel was one of the many pavers who put the bricks down to line streets in New York. Some of his sons listed the same occupation.
1910 census lists his first name as Donald, but living at East 145 Street in the Bronx. Has dauther-in-law Kate (26) living with them.
Daniel's death certificate shows he was a stone paver, even though the 1920 census in New Jersey, shows tailor. He moved to New Jersey after his wife died, living with Mary O'Connor Tarrant, a daughter.
1920 census shows he was naturalized in 1881 and came to US in 18?5 (could be 1875).
His death certificate shows he was living in US for 55 years.
Check 1880 census under name of Bernard O'Connor. This may be him as rest of family is same. There is a son William 1 yr old. Living in Manhattan 236 75th street. Shows him as a sidewalk layer.
